Dang guys the sky during this session was incredibly breathtaking! The evening could not have turned out any more perfect. Driving to this session I could not help but smile looking out the window at how awesome the weather was with all those clouds. Pulling up to this spot you just knew it was going to be a great session, one of those sessions where you cannot wait to get home and edit all the photos until the wee hours of the morning.

The Pintler Mountains in the background of these photos were absolutely epic. I personally feel my hometown is a hidden gem, there are so many mountain trails that would be perfect for elopements or couple sessions. If anyone wants to trust me and elope in my hometown I promise you that you will get some beautiful photos that you will cherish forever.

There is no better backdrop than a dreamy field with mountains in the background and that evening sun shining down making those fields a beautiful golden color. Amanda and Tyler were awesome to work with, they were willing to be goofy and do anything it took to get some great photos. The way the sunset shone on Amanda’s hair during this session made her blonde highlights pop. I just can not get over how fun this session was. We used a beautiful Pendleton blanket, some Philipsburg Brewery beers called Montana 1, which happen to be one of my favorite beers of all time, and we laughed the whole time while truly enjoying the evening together. Amanda and Tyler were truly my ideal client. I loved spending every minute with them because it was such a great time. When you open yourself up to your clients they will feel more comfortable around you and will relax more in front of the camera.

Some advice I would have when scheduling a couples session is to get to know your couple before hand. You could either send them a questionnaire or chat with them over the phone. Ask questions that will help you get to know them and that will help you make the session fun and relaxing for them. Ask them things like what kind of music they enjoy or if they have a pet or a favorite candy, coffee, or beer. Getting to know the likes of your client serves as an ice breaker by helping you to maybe find something in common with them and by helping you decide what props to use for the shoot that they can relate to.

There are some epic sceneries in Montana and I feel my hometown of Anaconda, Montana has some of the most breathtaking of all or the areas around it.  Let’s explore some of these places where you can have some amazing photos taken with one of a kind locations that you are sure to fall in love with.
