As some of you may already know I am obsessed with pug dogs. I babysat a pug when I was 12 years old and fell in love with their squishy faces. After that babysitting job I went home and put all my money together and started a pug fund. When I was contacted by a bride asking me to be their wedding photographer she told me it was because I love pug dogs and so does she!! Who would have ever thought that my obsession with pug dogs would give me the opportunity to photograph the coolest couple ever for their engagement and wedding photos!
I met up with Greg and Mikaya at Glacier National Park to take their engagement photos. It was a perfect day with blue skies and big puffy clouds. Mikaya was so excited to have cloud coverage because she wanted those cotton candy pink clouds at sunset in her engagement photos. I love photographing engagement sessions and especially in the mountains. I was super excited to take their photographs in Glacier National Park. They had not been to Glacier for a long time and they were happy to be back.
No matter how many times I go into Glacier National Park it is never the same, each time is truly different. Which is why I love to photograph couples there. We laughed the whole evening and had a great time. While on the drive we talked about how they met, their wedding plans and of course her love of pug dogs! We got to enjoy the stunning views the Going to the Sun road has to offer. Glacier National Park usually has lots of people taking in the views but on this evening there were hardly any people in the park which made it more enjoyable for Greg and Mikaya as they did not have to be self-conscious about strangers watching them while I was taking photos. We spent several hours taking photographs and taking in those spectacular views.
When we were done with the engagement session we pulled over onto the side of the road to watch the sun finish setting over the mountain tops. The view was truly breathtaking and photos did not do it justice. After such an amazing engagement shoot I am so excited and cannot wait until this summer to photograph this wonderful couple on their wedding day!
