Alex & Whitley (14 of 67).jpgGuys when I say I have the best couples ever I mean it!! I was contacted by Whitley asking if I could photograph her wedding elopement to Alex at Glacier National Park.   We met up in Glacier National Park for a sunrise elopement. It was a chilly September morning, you should have seen the fog coming off of Lake McDonald. With the fog on the lake and the sun rising over the mountain tops it was the perfect setting for getting married. I helped Whitley get into her gorgeous wedding dress in a nearby building. Her dress looked stunning on her, all that lace! Whitley had Mums Flowers made her stunning boutique. They flowers selected for her could not have been more perfect. We met Alex on the shore by Lake McDonald for their first look. I love witnessing first looks, that moment when the couple sees each other for the first time in their wedding attire and their faces are priceless.

We then headed over to Ryan’s Meadow for the exchange of wedding vows between Whitley and Alex . I love when couples read their vows and I really wanted to get some perfect photos as Whitley had recently lost her mom and I knew her vows would be emotional.  Whitley did talk about her mom and I was teary eyed the whole time.  Listening to Alex read his vows I knew that he loved Whitley with all his heart and that they would be together forever.

After their vows were exchanged we explored more parts of the park together, captured some pretty special photos and celebrated their marriage with some bubbly. Do not worry we collected the cork afterwards. I enjoyed every moment with these two! It felt like we were lifelong friends throughout the day. That connection is important to me, it means I am doing my job the way I want to.

”I swear it was meant to be that April was our photographer for the best day of our lives. Our original photographer fell through and I reached out to April along with a few others in the area. Right off the bat, it just felt like she was who should spend that chilly morning with us. She was so easy to communicate with and was so patient with so much up in the air for our 2020 elopement. I was impressed with her up until then BUT THEN came our big day. She showed up and literally filled the shoes of so many different people for me. She helped me pick the best time, the best locations, THE WOMAN EVEN BROUGHT HAND WARMERS AND A BLANKET FOR ME- she thought of everything. We laughed for hours and she captured some of the most beautiful pictures that I now have the gift of hanging in our home. Thank you April x a million!” -Whitley & Alex.
